Alabama college has beefed-up security since shooting
OPELIKA, Ala. -- Three years after a shooting fatally injured a woman and hurt three other people at Southern Union State Community College in Opelika, a law enforcement official says the institution has enhanced security.

Man injured in officer-involved shooting on I-85 in Opelika
Capt. Bruce DeLong says an officer made contact with a vehicle that was reportedly driving extremely slow on I-85 northbound near mile marker 63 at approximately 7:12 p.m. The man in the vehicle was transported to East Alabama Medical Center for treatment.
