Ditch drainage a lingering issue
A wet spring and summer was marked not just by ample precipitation, but ditches that filled with water became homes for stagnant water that proved to be the right breeding ground for blooms of algae, spawning mosquitoes and collecting trash.
This photo shows some of the marijuana seized on Tuesday, as well as a "grow light." More than 250 plants, along with packaged and loose marijuana, was taken from three Mathews County sites.
