Two trees lean on a house in Rockville, Md., Thursday evening after a wall of storms slammed into the region sparking three reported tornadoes, damaging trees and bringing down power outages.

The major deluge from Thursday afternoon's storm in Howard County mostly came from the frequent warnings about the storm.

A Tornado may have touched down at approximately 3:50 p.m. 5 miles south of Olney, Md., according to area officials.

More than 25,000 customers remain out of power in the Washington area after a large and powerful storm and possible tornadoes charged through the area around 3 p.m. Thursday producing strong winds, hail and rainfall.

Spokesman Ed McDonough says there have been no reports of injuries from the storms Thursday afternoon.

UPDATED The Chesapeake Bay Bridge is closed to traffic as a result of strong storms passing through the Anne Arundel County area.
