Okemah Restaurant Serves Up Healthier Down-Home Cooking
The Hen House Cafe is gaining a reputation for not just its healthy portions, but also its pretty healthy down home cuisine.
It could be the water, perhaps, or the air, or the vibes, in general, that have made Okemah, Okla., famous for its music and musicians, from Woody Guthrie and the town's annual free music festival in July to its latest acclaimed singer-songwriter, John Fullbright - who actually grew up in Bearden, Okla., but got his schooling in nearby Okemah.
