County population grows, but Oconto, Oc. Falls dip
The U.S. Census Bureau reports that Oconto County's population continues to grow and now is within range of 40,000. The 2008 population estimates show the total was 37,529 compared to the 2000 census total of 35,634. In 1990, the figure was just 30,226. However, since the 2000 census, some cities and villages have shown a decline thru 2007.
