A Long Island man due to close on a new home yesterday instead wound up dead in the street in a horrific road-rage incident that began when he was cut off by another driver, police said Just before he was killed, the 34-year-old victim, whose name was being withheld, furiously pounded on the other driver's car, witnesses said.
