Oakland family search for 'spirited horse' ends happily

A "spirited horse" who was missing for nine days was found laying near the Tennessee Gas Pipeline by workers who "didn't even know he was missing," his owner, Denise Vulgaris, said Monday, March 24. Makenzie Vulgaris, 15, with Chief, the horse she saved from slaughter, who she said has become "my best friend, my everything."
