Southbound traffic reopened on Turnpike near Orange-Lake line
A jackknifed tractor-trailer blocking the southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike at the Orange-Lake county line for about two hours this afternoon, but the roadway is now open.
The truck crashed and was hanging partially on the overpass about one mile north of State Road 429, said Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Jorge Delahoz. The truck was leaking fuel, which required fire crews to clean up the mess.
Troopers redirected traffic around the accident at the request of firefighters. Southbound traffic was diverted onto State Road 50 in Oakland, then sent back to the highway in Ocoee, Delahoz said. Read more
