Large group of dolphins off Northport

A large group of dolphins -- perhaps as many as 75 -- has been reported between Huntington and Northport Harbors. These photos were taken in Huntington Bay on Friday around 12:30 p.m. by Garett J. DeLuca. Reports are that the dolphins arrived Thursday night.

Stanley, who heads up a drumming circle in Huntington Village speaks very fondly of Dolphins; he turned me on to them as well. Before him, I didn't realize how amazing these creatures really are.

I like to believe that they came to personally visit Stanley.
