Repairs to improperly installed walls at Gillette Road Middle School in the North Syracuse school district are complete and the district's wind emergency plan has been lifted. When the district discovered the dangerous walls and windows in August 2011, the district developed and implemented a high wind monitoring plan in cooperation with the New York State Education Department.

The Cicero-North Syracuse North Stars jumped out to a 28-7 lead in the first half against the Fayetteville-Manliue Hornets on Saturday night, and held on for a 42-28 victory.
