The body of a local man last seen on the banks of the Connecticut River was recovered yesterday afternoon, a little more than a day after he was reported missing.

A search is resuming today for a 67-year-old Stratford man who was last seen on the bank of the Connecticut River late yesterday afternoon.

North Stratford Road will be closed between Georgia Avenue and Forest Drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today so a utilities crew from the City of Winston-Salem can fix a leaking water line.

The Stratford Area Chamber of Commerce offers the following information in its recent newsletter: * On April 16, A & B Process Systems will host its annual open house for students from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is open to students of area high schools and tech schools and their teachers.

Officials in North Stratford are watching the Connecticut River as levels run at twice what they normally are.
