Homicide detectives are investigating the Saturday death of a woman who was found in her apartment on West Alexander Road. North Las Vegas police officials said a 911 call about 11 p.m. Saturday came from a family member who reported that the 52-year-old woman was dead in the 1200 block of W. Alexander Road.

For once the valley didn't make a top 10 list and that's a good thing! In fact cities in the state weren't anywhere near the top 10 for the most dangerous cities list. On the list of 200 cities, Las Vegas came in at 120, while North Las Vegas hit made the 84th spot.

Senate questions Sandoval aides about Tesla deal

State senators are questioning Gov. Brian Sandoval's economic advisers about the details of the sales and use tax abatements in a package of up to $1.3 billion in incentives the Legislature is considering to seal a deal to bring Tesla Motors' $5 billion battery factory to Nevada. Eureka Republican Pete Goicoechea said Thursday he's concerned some contractors might try to exploit the tax breaks by purchasing equipment under the guise of using it for tax-sheltered purposes.

Grand jury indicts men charged with robbing food delivery workers

A Clark County grand jury issued a superseding indictment against two men accused of robbing food delivery workers and committing sexual assault through contacts made on the website Craigslist. Antwaun Campbell was already indicted last month but Rafael Bonet was added as a co-defendant for crimes that allegedly occurred in Las Vegas and North Las Vegas in June and July.
