Woman Denied Bail In Fatal Shooting Of Girlfriend
A Joppatowne woman has been denied bail in the fatal shooting of her ex-girlfriend.
Sandra Heim, 47, had a bail review hearing Monday in Cecil County District Court.
Heim is charged with first- and second-degree murder, and related charges, in Saturday's shooting of 46-year-old Helen Sparks of North East.
Court documents say the two had been living together until March.
According to charging documents, Heim told state police after her arrest that she had driven with a gun to Sparks' home intending to either threaten to kill herself, shoot Sparks or kill Sparks and herself. Read more
