A Maryland man was arrested Wednesday night after he struck a DRBA police officer and then reportedly drove erratically on several township streets before crashing his Mercedes Benz into a parked car.

Afternoon police beat update includes stolen X Games bike

n Christina L. Rivera, 29, of the 400 block of Reviam Court, was cited May 30 for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, refusal to submit to a Breathalyzer test, failure to stop and endangering the welfare of a child. n Gary Reiser, 34, and Russell Hyson, 27, both of the 500 block of Clarendon Avenue, were charged Tuesday with obstruction. They each were held in the Cumberland County Jail on $1,000 bail. n A man reported someone stole a stereo/television and a pair of sneakers from his car Wednesday while it was parked at Cumberland County College on College Drive. The car was unlocked and its windows were down, the man said. n Kevin Stafford Jr., 18, of the 40 block of Franklin Street in Bridgeton was cited for careless driving May 30 after his car collided with another vehicle at West Sherman Avenue and Orchard Road. n Brett E. Jurewicz, 23, of the 200 block of Townbank Road in North Cape May, was cited Wednesday for making an unsafe lane change after his car collided with another vehicle on South Delsea Drive near West Sherman Avenue. n Cesar A. Evangelista, 19, of the 600 block of East Almond Street, was cited Thursday for failure to observe a traffic signal after his car collided with a NJ Transit bus at East Landis Avenue and South East Avenue. Two passengers on the bus complained of pain and were taken to South Jersey Regional Medical Center. n Debra A. Corsiglia-Sparks, 47, of Millville, was cited Monday for careless driving after her car rear-ended another vehicle on South Main Road. n A resident of the 1000 block of Louis Drive reported her someone stole her son's vehicle from their back yard. The bicycle, described and a red and black X Games model, was valued at $200. n Frank B. Ramsey III, 50, of Fortescue, was cited Thursday for failure to maintain a lane after his truck collided with another vehicle on Dock Street. n Charlotte K. Santorio, 41, of the 100 block of West Main Street, was cited Thursday for careless driving and making an improper U-turn after her vehicle struck a bicyclist on Silver Run Road. The bicyclist, Joseph M. Brown, 44, of 29 David Road, was taken to South Jersey Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries to his hand, leg and back. n A man reported someone stole his wallet and cell phone from his vehicle Monday while it was parked at Valero Gas on North 2nd Street. n Vernon Green, 47, of the 600 block of Richard Drive, was charged Wednesday with resisting arrest and defiant trespass. He was held in the Cumberland County Jail on $35,000 bail. n Kyseme Smith, 24, of the 100 block of West Foundry Street, was charged Wednesday with violating a restraining order. n Lenia A. Davis, 23, of the 2000 block of Shamrock Lane, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant and released on bail. n Rose Ann Portscheller, 62 of the 300 block of Goshen Road in Cape May Court House, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant. He was held in the county jail on $405 bail. n Anthony Richard Miller, 21, of the 300 block of North 7th Street, was arrested Wednesday following a traffic stop and charged with possession of marijuana, hindering and obstruction. He was held on unrelated warrants in the county jail on $3,500 full cash bail. n Raymond Scott Klecz, 39, of the 200 block of Dandelion Road, was arrested on a warrant. He was processed and released after posting $500 bail. n Wayne M. Franklin, 28, fo the 500 block of Columbia Avenue, was charged Thursday with trespassing. He was processed and released on a summons.
