The following people were committed to the Armstrong County Jail on Wednesday and Thursday, according to jail records: * Raymond Timothy Habovick, 19, of 113 Alpine Woods Drive, Kittanning, by District Judge Gary DeComo on charges of robbery and criminal conspiracy.

Apollo marks visit by Wounded Warrior Project The Wounded Warrior Project moved through Apollo on July 3. The 342-mile walk across the state began in Philadelphia on June 20 and was held to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project which helps soldiers injured in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The 40th Annual Apollo Moon Landing Celebration, sponsored by Apollo Fire Department Hose Company 2, will be held July 20-25 at Owens Field, Route 56, Apollo.
