Stench from red tide affecting coastal businesses causing temporary closures
NOKOMIS, FL - The smell of dead and decaying sea life killed by Florida red tide is affecting more than just residents noses; it's also prompting one business to temporarily close their doors. According to Travis Donmoier, General Manager of Pop's Sunset Grill in Nokomis, the odor from red tide has become too much for staff and customers to tolerate prompting a temporary closure for the bayfront restaurant.
