SPRINGFIELD a ' In December the Illinois Liquor Control Commission conducted compliance checks around the state and visited 79 businesses licensed to sell liquor.
Noble woman charged with attempted murder
A Richland County woman has been charged in Indiana with attempted murder. 64 year-old Janice Jackson of Noble is charged in connection with an incident December 3rd at the Vincennes, Indiana Super Wal-mart in which she allegedly slashed the neck of 34 year old Monica Britton with a sharp object.
Walmart stabbing brings arrest, continuing probe
Monica Britton, 34, told police she was approached by a former acquaintance, Janice C. Jackson, 64, of Noble, Ill., while returning to her car on the store's parking lot Thursday afternoon.
