Police ID drivers killed in Sagtikos crash

State police Monday released the identities of two drivers killed in a crash on the Sagtikos Parkway in Commack Sunday after a southbound car lost control and spun into oncoming traffic.

New plea for affordable housing at former Kings Park site

The Long Island Regional Planning Council has asked the state to reconsider keeping the entire former Kings Park Psychiatric Center property as parkland, and instead adapt some existing buildings for reuse such as affordable housing, an idea blasted by a state senator and at least one community group.
