Newville man arrested for assault

A Newville man was arrested and charged with simple assault and driving under the influence last night after he allegedly hit a woman with his vehicle during an argument on Route 641 and McAllister Church Road.

Punishment fit the crime

My new theory on this, while not really "an eye for an eye," is that the punishment should be related somehow to the crime. What if this fellow were sentenced to live for a time in an Old Order community and just ride in a horse-drawn buggy? Fitting, I think. Oh boy do I have no tolerance for those who drink and drive!
