Jackson was not a great role model. He so despised himself that he had numerous plastic surgeries and procedures to change not just his bone structure but his race. I do not know if he actually molested any kids, but someone who cannot understand why sleeping with underaged kids is a bad idea is also not a great role model.
Then of course, there is the drug problem his family is saying he was working against.

Why would the black community feel this way? Michael Jackson hated being black. He was ashamed of it. He didn't want to look black, act black or talk black. He didn't want to be one of them. The black community abandoned him a long time ago as black music moved more towards rap and hip hop. White America got tired of his 'same old sound...same old dances.....same old clothes....weird plastic surgery and when all the attention left MJ, he deteriorated. No one killed him. He was just too needy when it came to being in the spotlight. His behavior was beyond bizarre thanks to his freakshow of a father but you can only blame your parents for so long.
