Contract for county garage awarded
By DENISE GRANT Staff Writer A contract worth $2.7 million has been awarded to Studer-Oberinger Inc., New Washington, for the construction of a garage for the Hancock County Engineer's Office.
For the time being, 11 Findlay firefighters will be laid off instead of the 20 initially recommended, and Fire Station 4 will remain open.
Convenience store opening soon
The village of Marblehead has been without a convenience store since Mutach's Market moved to Danbury Township in 2011.
