Applications being accepted for information center workers
Applications are being accepted for travel counselors and supervising at 10 information centers along interstates 29 and 90. The seasonal positions run May through September and help visitors with travel needs, answer questions and promote South Dakota's travel opportunities.
Four S.D. towns will increase sales tax rates Jan. 1
Four South Dakota communities will change their municipal sales tax rates beginning Jan. 1. Wessington will increase its 1 percent general sales and use tax to 2 percent, while Pukwana, Mellette and New Effington will implement a 2 percent general sales and use tax, according to the state Department of Revenue.
