Two killed in crash on Sagtikos Parkway in Commack

How may people are going to come here and say it's the road's fault, there aren't enough cops patrolling the Sagtikos, they didn't mean to hurt anyone, it was raining, the tires were bald or any other of the myriad of excuses the bleeding hearts come up with?

The only sympathy I have here is for the person who was hit by this inconsiderate moron - and their family.

As I am reading about this senseless loss of life I am having powerful thoughts about wanting to wantonly torture people like this freak who was driving the Mustang that killed somebody's mom and grandmother.

The fact that he is dead has absolutely no meaning to me. In fact, I wish he survived so I could kick his friggin ball-bag in.

Is this normal?

Why is that so many people morph into little s-hits when they get behind the wheel of a car?

My condolences to the family and friends of the innocent victim of this crime.

Couple of things that crossed my mind after viewing the pics in the paper. With the Mustang getting T-boned by the Cadillac, I could see the guy in the Ford getting killed, but the Caddy's passenger compartment looks relatively intact and the airbags deployed. So I wonder how the woman was killed? Unless she wasn't wearing her belt. Another odd thing....don't we have an animal control group (shelter) that could be called to take care of an animal found in a situation such as this? While the woman who volunteered to take this dog home was no doubt well intentioned, I'm surprised they would just yell out for volunteers, without any idea where the dog would wind up.
A terrible accident and my thoughts are with both families.

They don't morph into little s-hits when they get behind the wheel. They are little s-hits in every aspect of their lives. And any minute now, Mommy, or girlfriend will be crying how "wonderful he is". NOT My condolences to the womans family.

Maybe they should start cracking down on car dealerships that use and abuse these cars before they sell them to us. Would be interesting to know if the loser that was driving the Mustang, actually worked for Syosset Ford. Sympathies to the family & friends of the woman in the Cadillac, and what extremely poor judgement to just hand off the dog, who is just as much in shock and in need of medical attention, as the unfortunate owner. This just added more unease & tension to the already greaving family. Slappy I agree with you regarding the elderly lady killed. These young punks think they're God especially with these so called "muscle cars" a Mustang in the rain is like driving in the snow. Those cars like the Camaro are death traps in the rain. Even if you;re going the speed limit or below I don;t trust them. the tires aren't reliable on wet or snowy roads plus they have Rear wheel drive. I agree about calling the shelter for the dog,how ever they are so over crowed now the poor thing will just be another "expired over the limit stay" animal.
Hopefully the person that took the dog will care for it properly.

I don't doubt that the person who offered to take the dog home would care for it properly. It just seemed like an odd thing for them to do. I'm sure someone from the victims family would come forward quickly.

Holy crap. You people are unbelievable. Long Islanders are all trailer trash to different degrees. You raise exactly what you are so stop trashing a young man who lost his life. He has a family too and you have3e no soul for the cruel things you write.

Another great job by the DOT. They tear up the median trees that would have stopped the car from crossing over. This was last year. Then, instead of just replacing it with a guardrail right away or leaving the natural barrier and installing a guardrail next to it, they waste more time and money installing 'temporary asphalt walkways' for...uh...all the pedestrians that walk down the median it seems.

They could have spent the same amount of time/money and had guardrails installed right away, and saved a life as well as maintained night visibility without motorists being blinded by oncoming headlights. But we get 8 wasted months of 'workers' leaning on shovels. What do you expect for the highest taxes in the nation?

It's amazing how all of you can sit behind your screen in anonimmity and write about something you know nothing about. This was a good kid who made a bad decision and unfortunately it cost him his life as well as somebody else's. Don't act as if you have lived your life as a saint and your kid, nephew or neice never got behind the wheel of a car when they were drinking, high, wacked out on some type of drug or thought they were invincible. For all of those heartless bastard's who posted here, which are most of you, next time let it be your kid, brother, friend or somebody you know that was a good person to have a fatal decision come their way. These azzholes, sanchez, ohwell, todd a couple of others are missing. Constantly seek out sights where a teen was injured or killed and talk out their azzes constantly. Sitting home collecting welfare or are illegal aliens of this country. They are always the first to comment, ALWAYS, and they use the same lines each story. Ignore and they go away. the kid driving the mustang was the owners son of syosset ford yes these sport cars are dangerous to much power and its easy to floor the throttle rest in peace to the people who perished here
