I have read where they plan to rebuild,But it was said they were woefully underinsured.
I spoke with the owner of Dawns back when her placed burned and she said the Corp of engineers guidelines/rules/specs were so expensive that they couldn't afford to rebuild..
I read in the paper that the Big Pines owners have spoke with Judge Anderson, the fire marshall, etc but didn't see where they had spoke to the Corp of engineers to see if they can even afford to rebuild.
I would think the same rules should apply to alllll business owners on the regulations ??
Just find that a little odd the article doesn't mention the Corp of engineers, flood zones ect....

I never thought you could open a business and not have FULL coverage insurance anyway...What if someone would have gotten hurt and they wasnt covered? I always thought any business had to have full coverage before even opening the doors up...But now days nothing suprises me...
Someone told me they couldnt get full coverage because it wasnt up to code, well if thats the case they should have never been able to open up to start with...

Well now the mystery deepens?
I will be curious to see if they rebuild, I do know Big Pines is considered a flood zone , there are LARGE corp signs as you go down the hill to get to Big Pines..

I own a hair salon and I carry liability coverage as well as content and structure coverage. When I got all of my business licenses there was no requirement to carry insurance. If you choose not to it's at your own risk. If someone falls on your property they can sue you for everything you have if they want to. Kind of stupid not to carry insurance.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Taurus

Someone simply isn't being realistic or practical today, Taurus. He or she seems to be lost in a dream world of wishful thinking and idealism, none of which has much to do with what's really going on. Unfortunately, they won't want to hear any of this and may even manipulate the situation so they don't have to listen to your opinions. Be careful when dealing with this character and try not to get sucked into this desire to escape reality at all costs.
