A Connecticut man was placed on life support at Jersey Shore University Medical Center after he attempted suicide at the same New Jersey gun range where police said a 30-year-old Lakewood man died by shooting himself in the chest during the previous week. Police said they found the latest victim, a 36-year-old male from Stamford, Conn., at the Shore Shot Pistol Range on Airport Road at around 6 p.m. on Friday.

JSUMC 5K concludes Heart and Sole Series

The Annual Jersey Shore University Medical Center 5K was held on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the hospital grounds in Neptune N.J. The race was the conclusion of the Meridian Heart and Sole Cup Series which included the Ocean Medical Center and Bayshore Hospital 5K's held earlier in the year. Points were awarded to finishers who competed for series awards.
