There's more heroin on the streets than anyone wants to admit. Just visit the south end of Columbus if you want proof. Anyone caught selling this shit should be killed on site b/c this stuff turns people into helpless thieves that will do anything for their next fix. I've witnessed 3 different people destroy their lives in less than a year. Shame on them for being junkies, but you and everyone you know are at risk of being robbed or killed by heroin addicts.

You see what happens when police (CPD) work with other police (Sheriff's)...Things get done. Although the information was shared in 2007...better late than never I guess. Even so, 34 criminals off the street.

Maybe now we will reconsider that wall across Mexico...

After reading that last paragraph...that sounds like a lot of tax payer money went in to getting 34 people arrested (or 32, 2 died according to the story)

Let me also add that I hope the police also arrested their customers. If there wasn't a market for this then there won't be drug dealers. We need more jail time for addicts...they get out usually after 3 days and have to go to counseling...maybe a year for a first offence. Then they go to the dope boys house and get them arrested. You don't know how many times people have came up to me in my old neighborhood trying to score one drug or another. I tell them I don't mess around, then they say come on..you know somebody. Its very easy to get trapped in that kind of environment. BUT, heroin, I can't feel that. Maybe some weed, but what this drug does to people IS criminal.

Get help for Painkiller & Heroin Addictions

Buprenorphine (Suboxone) is a medication when combined with therapy treats the medical condition of opioid addiction in the privacy of a doctor's office. FDA approved in 2002, this treatment has improved quality of life for patients and provided dignity to opiate addiction treatment.

The naabt.org Patient/Physician Matching System has connected 23,408 patients with at least one of the 2,588 participating physicians.

This confidential system TreatmentMatch.org helps connect people to doctors providing buprenorphine treatment. The free 24/7 service lets patients reach out for help anytime with privacy.

Patient registration is fast. A short list of questions helps match patients to physicians. All information is confidential residing on a secure server. Once the application is done, emails are sent to physicians. The System then allows the physician to contact patients confidentially by email.

Gee thanks Nancy, but I doubt too many junkies are taking the time to read this. I suppose if someone knows someone....... I guess this is a PSA from Nancy.

Seems to me he should have taken the plea deal and his attorney should have advised him to do so.

Too bad all drug dealers don't get this kind of time. If they did maybe then they would find another profession. You see all the other people got probation or less than a year in jail...

Glad to see the police finally getting some of the hard drug dealers. They should spend more time doing this. Yes..alot of tax payer dollars. The police would have more money to get these deadly drugs, that will make people steal and kill just to get a fix,if marijuana was made legal. It's not addictive so you're not going to kill or steal just to buy a joint.
Just think of the millions of extra dollars Ohio would have to rid the state of the deadly drugs if marijuana was legalized and taxed by the state when it was sold......like in the state liquor stores. BTW alcohol kills thousands every year in our country as does the hard drugs. Marijuana doesn't. Let's make it legal and boost our economy.

Hmmm..Shame on them for being junkies?? Interesting. You obviously have NEVER known a addict. I wish I could have been so LUCKY !! They don't want to be a addict..bad choice turns into a mind, body consuming addiction. I am going to check Nancy's posting out, if this information is true, then it is fantastic. If your over 18 with no insurance or not wealthy, getting TRUE treatment is a nightmare as bad as the addiction.

http://treatmentmatch.org - Is a Free service that gives you names & locations of Dr's that will prescribe Suboxen. The patient still has to pay for the prescription ($230.00) plus the office call..Just a FYI

Suboxone is also being used by the addicts in a bad way. They take the suboxone and shot it up. 12 or more have died because of shooting it up, airbubble in the syringe. Get a grip, Suboxone is not helping anyone.

junkies can't afford suboxone......and if they are able to afford it but stupid enough to run it when it blocks the effects of other narcotic drugs and produces no high, then you've done all you can do for them.

It is a sad day when you get more time in prison for selling drugs then you do when you murder someone.

To the person that said marijuana does not cause problems, wake up and smell the coffee. It did for my nephew and led to him breaking in and entering charges just to get money to buy it. That in turn led to hang around with unsavory people who led him to worse things. he is now spending 15 years in prison.

Well,I know 3 people that have OD'd on heroin in the past year so I guess saying I've obviously never met a junkie is pure garbage. Shame on them for turning to such a dangerous drug that everyone knows destroys lives but still they choose to go down that path. As far as my comments about the south side, I never said it was a south side only problem so you might wanna take a reading comprehension class instead of reaching and twisting my words. I'm sure it's a problem all over but I can't speak for other parts of town, but I do know for a fact that all 3 of these people bought their shit on the south side.
