Michigan NewsPolice use DNA to identify body found in U.P. house fire
Michigan State Police used DNA to identify the body of a man found in an Upper Peninsula house fire last month. The remains of Joseph Ray Roop, 61, of Eben Junction, were found in a home on N5113 ET Road in Rock River Township after firefighters were called there for an overnight blaze on July 14. No foul play is suspected in Roop's death, according to state police from the Negaunee Post.
