Bill Way as an executive, should look at any study to determine what is best for the citizens of Needles before advising anything to the city officials. His guess or gut "feelings" about what may or may not be best financially to the community should be based on an actual study of the costs and advantages. The Sheriffs have to be in Needles anyway, it is in the county. The CHP have to be there anyway, it is in the State of California. The additional cost to cover the "City of Needles" by the county is in the +Millions per year charged by the County for this small city area and they have told the city that is will go up substantially every year. How about a look at what that $milliom + and yearly increase could do for our own police, which we used to have, but took the county bait and switch a few years ago. A good look at real numbers by an independant group may be very enlightning. Then again, some people would not see the light if it shined in their eyes.
