Nebraska legislators debated the issue of local sales taxes Monday, when Sen. Ernie Chambers of Omaha introduced an amendment to repeal the local option sales tax changes of last year.

Two names for district judge. Hugh I. Abrahamson, Bellevue, and Jeffrey J. Funke, Nebraska City, have submitted applications for appointment as District Judge in the 2nd Judicial District consisting of Cass, Sarpy, and Otoe Counties.
