I think closing Natural Bridge Juvenile Detention Center is a travesty. There is no other juvenile center in Virginia in which the boys can be given the opportunity to turn their lives around. The staff there is very caring and their supervision iand teaching is impecable. We have a grandson their now who has tutored and taught Math under the supervison of the staff. He has earned his GED, been a part of the work-release program and is enrolled in college courses. He earned the privilege of being there and is very thankful for that privilege. What a shame that the care given there will no longer exist for future juveniles. It mades me wonder if Gov. Kaine has ever visited that facility and witnessed what has been accomplished there.
