You soon may be putting your snow shovel to use -- forecasters are predicting anywhere from 5 to 9 inches of snow by Friday morning.
The metro-east is in for a second round of winter storms after a cold front Tuesday sent record-breaking highs plummeting and resulted in severe thunderstorms with strong winds, which damaged a Nashville high school gym.
A winter storm watch will be in effect today as another storm is expected to sweep the area from the afternoon through the evening, said Butch Dye, hydrometeorological technician for National Weather Service in Weldon Spring, Mo. Read more
