3 arrested on rape, sodomy charges
Three men face rape and sodomy charges after they allegedly attacked a woman Wednesday night, Lexington police say.
A woman told police that three men raped and sodomized her in a wooded area near 1050 Russell Cave Road just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Lexington police Sgt. Ann Gutierrez said. The woman knocked on doors in the area until someone helped her call the police, Gutierrez.

Special meeting called to discuss city clerk firing
While strong storms brewed outside, another political storm was beginning to build in the Powell County Courthouse last Friday. The storm in question was the firing of the Stanton City Clerk and the end result of the meeting after six hours and a small break to seek shelter from a pending tornado, was no different that when the meeting began.

Deputies arrest Clark Jailer
A Clark County deputy jailer has his own private jail cell following his arrest for allegedly bringing tobacco, cell phones and drugs into the jail.
Earl Mitchell, of Bath County, was charged late Friday afternoon with first-degree promoting contraband and first-degree official misconduct by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
