Culver's restaurants will participate in the 9/11 Patriots Day of Giving in Lake County on Thursday. Stores have worked with the Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation to come up with an event to raise funds for the organization and gain recognition for the local men and women who have served our country.

Trial delayed for 74-year-old man accused of assaulting child
The trial of a 74-year-old Mundelein man facing 120 years in prison for molesting a child under the age of 13 has been delayed until Jan. 4, officials said Tuesday. Bobby Tinkes remains free from Lake County jail after posting the required 10 percent of his $450,000 bail, Assistant State's Attorney Jason Grindel said.
