Freezing rain ends, but not before creating a mess

A storm that dumped snow and then freezing rain over a large swath of Kentucky caused numerous crashes and made for a treacherous commute Tuesday, and forecasters said falling temperatures could create similar problems Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
In Western Kentucky, two people were killed early Tuesday after the car they were in slid off an icy highway. State police said the driver lost control and the car overturned after going off the Western Kentucky Parkway four miles east of Caneyville. Read more
