Final Call

Firefighters and emergency response personnel from departments all over Middle Tennessee gathered Aug. 22 at Smyrna's Highland Heights Church of Christ to pay their last respects to La Vergne Fire Chief Richard "Ricky" McCormick , 49, and stand with the grieving McCormick family. More than 100 fire trucks, police cars and other emergency response vehicles accompanied Chief McCormick to Mapleview Cemetery, transported in his chief's truck, which was draped with black bunting.
