I'm amazed at the number of people who are shocked that she isn't in jail. In almost every DUI case the person is released that night to a responsible (i.e., sober) person. The rare exception is if no one can come and pick you up or you are from out-of-county or out-of-state. You can say what you want, but she did not get any special treatment.
She will also lose her license for a year for the refusal. There's no question about that. If convicted, she'll lose her license for another year.
It is not enough.

If she had killed someone the person who gave her the drinks would also be held responsible. Why not caatch it from the start and penalize her strongly for a long period. And she should have had to spend the night in jail.

I'll bet you were the one to mark my post as "spam" and "offtopic". What is your impairment with using topix? I wasn't advertising anything, so it's not spam. I was referencing an interchange in the article, so it certainly was on-topic.
My point was, it's a screwed up interchange in the first place.
No, I didn't mark your post as spam. And while I understand your point, my point is that any road can be confusing depending on a person's impairment. That's all. You actually make a great point. I just didn't want it to take away from the fact that she obviously drove for quite a while in the wrong direction so things went way beyond making a wrong turn. thankfully no one was injured like the rt30 incident in Lancaster some time ago.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I also made the point in my other posts that I do also agree that she deserves punishment for her lapse of responsibility.

If it was a black man with a nice car he wouldn't have made it through the first town.

Is there some kind of system that would have alerted the police at 2 am that the driver was black? Then they would have gone out on 283 and pulled him over right away. But the white chick they just let slide?

Could it have been the crack pipe in your mouth or the fact you were doing 50 in a 35? I am tired of the excuses. We have a (half) black president now.

She gave out the number to the party...oops. Hopefully they went to the house and took the host of the party to jail.

Especially if it had full gold plated rims. The brothers would have whacked him for tooth replacement parts.

Guess that is why you are still alive. Lay off the poor girl...obviously she was too drunk to walk...she had to drive.

One fact that no one seemed to bring up is the fact that she is underage. Kids these days just don't think of the consequences of their actions. At least no one died...this time.

I used to be a family friend to the allemans. Jenilee was a very nice girl. The family went through a very messy divorce and she must have been emotionally scared by that. I am not excusing what she did, but i think if she had adults to look up to this situation could have been avoided

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Leo

If there have been slight tensions or frictions between you and a loved one recently, this is the perfect day to get them out into the open, thrash them out and then forget about them. Things could get quite heated in the process but don't worry because they'll work out all right in the end. Put as much energy into kissing and making up as you did in arguing!
