County police Capt. Thomas C. Didone urges passage of the Safe Teen and Novice Driver Uniform Protection Act of 2009, or the STANDUP Act, which would encourage states to adopt uniform graduated license laws to help prevent teen driving crashes like the one that killed his 15-year-old son, Ryan.
