I wonder if the county commission has any idea that the thousands of dollars they get to toss around to good friends and pet interests was earned by people who got up and went to work each day.

The government doesn't have a job, so they have to take the money from us. The least they could do is keep it in the county where it was taken from.

That money slated for Santa Fe County is made availabe for Torrance County. Just becasue the Commissioners lives near Moriarty and his kids or family kids attend school in Moriarty it still does not make this right that Santa Fe County Money is going to fund Athletic Programs in Torrance County.

All Counties are strapped for money these days.

Anaya you need to help Santa Fe County, That is who you represent.

$1000.00 for the Fall Fiesta at the Farmers Market.

Spend that money on fixing roads and other infrastructure throghout the County.

Hold the Binationa Policy Forum at a County owned facility and use that money on something better that Food and Drinks for all the attendees.

At least Montoya is spending his money wisely.

The money spent - by all donors -for the Farmers Market Institute's programming helps support farmers in Northern New Mexico (including many in Santa Fe County). Support includes professional development, microloan assistance and enhancement of market opportunities for them to sell their goods. This is a direct investment in our 'food' infrastructure and helps sustain small family farmers. I commend the councilor for the donation to such a type of program.

you can tell which commissioners are not from new mexico, their priorties are not for the massess, their special interests aren't even in the county, anti-donation, where are the auditors and dept. of finance and adm., local govt dept., raise taxes, finance what banks won't, double dippers, and we elect them, what a shame.

What's the problem with this, government is in the business of giving away the "free" money they take from people who earned it.

Ya, and most of you people that complain will vote in the same people over and over, mostly libs. Only when you start to support and vote for people who do act responsibly will it change. Republicans are not much better with the current crowd they have, but there are good people who would run, if they thought they had a chance.

You know, I've never been to Albuquerque, never even driven through it, and reading from the poster from there, probably never will. Nothing to see or learn from there.

life. Amazing how you feel qualified to tell us what to do in New Mexico. There was a woman who use to post here who was actually proud that she never had been out of state and yet somehow she thought she knew everything.

I get to Albuquerque occasionally - mostly for business meetings or when I go to the airport. Very few flights out of Santa Fe.

Oh, I see, you just object to anyone not from precious NM, having any say about anything. This is probably the part where I have to say 'I have lots of friends who are New Mexicans'. Childish. I've been vacationing in NM for over 20 years and all over Colorado. The two states used to be solid conservative, but have been taken over from libs who try to escape tax and spend and government out of control expansion. Problem is, they along with the libs already in the flee to states, have ruined what used to very nice and safe places to live. I only hope people will wake up and vote out career politicians and those who have agendas that have nothing to do with limited government.

I have been to New Mexico a few times. My folks live in Pheonix, and I have family in Colorado Springs. I did quite of bit of camping and snowboarding in CO, and boarded at SnowBowl in Flagstaff. I love the whole southwest. Especially the great mexican food and margaritas. Its so beautiful it makes me wonder why some of you out there are so angry all the time. Most of the people I have met out there are quite nice.

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Virgo

Home is where your heart is, so stay there today if you can. Surround yourself with your loved ones, even if you're all slumped on the sofa in front of the TV. If you love cooking, you'll get sweet satisfaction from shutting yourself in the kitchen, and either producing a delicious meal or creating some Christmas food that can live in the freezer till you need it.
