Four arrested after wrong-way chase
A Rio Rancho man and three other people were arrested Sunday after the group allegedly left a Raton hotel without paying, and the man later tried to elude police by driving a sport utility vehicle an estimated 115 mph while traveling south in the northbound lanes on Interstate 25 just north of Springer.
The driver of the SUV - which state police report had a stolen license plate on it - escaped capture immediately following the highway chase Sunday morning, but was arrested later that day after being found hitchhiking on I-25. Read more
