“It was really bad timing here”
If the forecasters were right, a wide section of Central Kentucky could be encased in a layer of ice Friday morning, putting a serious crimp in normal activities such as walking and driving, and possibly causing power outages.
If, perchance, they were wrong ... well, go on about your lives.
The National Weather Service office in Louisville said one-tenth to two-tenths of ice could coat everything early Friday. That's enough to cause problems with small tree branches and power lines, meteorologist Robert Szappanos said. With Friday's temperature expected to approach 40, the ice probably won't be around long. Read more
