Schools throughout the area will hold various assemblies next Wednesday to celebrate Veterans Day, honoring the men and who served in the nation's armed forces.
Church holding Thanksgiving dinner
OnTuesday, the United Methodist Women in Mooreland will hold their annual Thanksgiving dinner from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Organizers said the dinner has been held for at least 50 years - originally in the basement of the church and now in the church's Family Life Center.
