Westmoreland County Supervisors receive explanation of audit costs
District 5 Supervisor Larry Roberson was not happy when he learned that Westmoreland County's audit costs will rise more than 20 percent as the result of the contract County Administrator Norm Risavi signed in April with the Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates audit firm.
Roberson persuaded Board colleagues to have Risavi bring a Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates spokes person to the August 11 meeting to explain the higher costs. The past year's contract had called for a minimum cost of $34,125 but rose to a new high of $38,000. The new contract's minimum projected cost is $46,000, a value substantially higher than other Northern Neck localities.
