State audit puts Sullivan County jail back in spotlight
Once again the state is throwing the book at Sullivan County regarding conditions at its jail, one section of which a state official once described as a "dungeon."
Literacy Volunteers starting language classes
Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays at the Literacy Center, 63 North St. in Monticello, through Aug. 28. The cost is $100 per class, and students must be at least 15.
