A McCleary, Wash., man has been sentenced to 26 years in prison for a 2012 attack on a judge and a deputy sheriff in the Grays Harbor County Courthouse in Montesano.

OLYMPIA The Washington State Department of Natural Resources will close Preachers Slough Road near Montesano for two weeks beginning May 13 for road maintenance and repairs to the parking area.

The Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Montesano Fire Department, will offer a free boater education course open to all Washington boaters, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at the Montesano Fire Hall located at 310 E. Pioneer St., in Montesano.
