I received my first flu shot this year (at Kaiser, not at the fair). The news about H1N1 has emphasized how important it is to protect yourself as much as possible. It was painless, and I had no side effects (the shot generally has few or no side effects, while the nasal mist has a few more). I will be sure and get a flu shot every year from here on, and I will definitely be getting the H1N1 shot when it is generally available.
For those of you worried about "toxins" in the vaccine harming you, guess what really harms you? Viruses for which your body has little or no natural immunity, like H1N1. Here is a cautionary tale for you, courtesy the New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/20/health/20pr... |
