Youths create - rainforest' as part of project at ACAC
Ariya Camero, 9, and Peyton Castro, 8, paint animals, flowers and plants to help create an indoor rainforest at Ash Creek Arts Center on March 26. Trees are being assembled while youth paint animals in watercolor in one room and create three-dimensional forest wildlife from pottery in another.
Economy, jobs the focus of candidate forum
Nine speakers will talk about the Oregon economy and jobs at a forum sponsored by Paul Evans of Monmouth, Democratic candidate in House District 20. The forum will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the NW Viticulture Center, 215 Doaks Ferry Road NW, Salem.
