Two people were injured yesterday in a pair of Lawrence County crashes. The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued the following reports: A Pierce City teenager was hurt in a two-vehicle wreck a half mile north of Monett on Highway 37 at 3:57 p.m. Jameson Brock, 17, one of the drivers, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Cox Monett Hospital.

On Sept. 3, a fire broke out at the Monett Community Church, gutting two offices and spreading smoke damage throughout the majority of the building.
