Gathered around two tables, serving up pizza, the cast of the "Living Last Supper" -- a doctor, a radio announcer, teachers, coaches, and other professionals -- strike a parallel between themselves and the unlikely chosenness of Christ's disciples.

The department said Monday that it closed U.S. 160 from Meade to Coldwater; U.S. 183 from the Kansas-Oklahoma state line to Coldwater and U.S. 283 from the Kansas-Oklahoma state line to Minneola.

Special to The Hays Daily News State, city and county emergency crews across Kansas are working around the clock to clear heavy snowfalls and wind-blown drifting snow.

Due to blowing snow causing white-out near zero visibility conditions, the Kansas Department of Transportation has closed US-54 Highway between the west city limits of Pratt in Pratt County to the City of Minneola in Clark County.
