What is a poor child to do if even his own mother won't protect him from a monster. I am getting sick of these men and women that beat these children for any reason, biological or not, and only get these light punishments. They should get many years of solitude. They forefit their rights as citizens when they beat, molest, or kill a child. What possibly could this young boy have done to deserve this kind of horrific treatment and then instead of protecting other children from future harm, we coddle them with a few years and a few thousand dollars. Is this the value that we as a civil society value our children?
