CLEARY, the Man showed no reseitence when he was tasered. The city and the Police wiil be forced to pay out. The officer was totally at fault. Under Law, one can only use the amount of force that is being used against him. You can't use deadly force if i'm unarmed. The force must be equal to that which is being used against the officer.

I agree. The threat was over. No reason at all to taser a person who clearly was not resisting arrest. The Officer should be fired from the Dept. One needs to have a cool head on their shoulders for Police work.

seems to me, if the idiot hadn't thrown a brick through the windshield of an officer's car, right in front of the police station, all this would have been avoided.

Makes you wonder if criminals are getting smarter by infuriating the officer with the shorest fuse, and then cashing in?

It's the same old criminal mentality, I am bad and break the law but you as an officer have to treat me as if I am royalty. Entitlement issues abound in this country, and I don't know why. He's lucky he wasn't shot.

Cops are getting out of hand with tazer use.
They are too quick to use it. Too many cases like this keep popping up lately.

And police wonder why public opinion of them is rock bottom. Well gee....another over zealous cop beating people up, imagine that!

Control freaks is what they are. You WILL comply!!!

This case just sounds like he took out his anger on the guy for dropping a brick on his window. The cop was mad, so he tazerd the hell out of the guy, that will show him!!!!

I've met a few good cops. Most are meat heads who like control and bashing skulls.

They call it a COP mentality for a reason. And there's particular people drawn to this line of work.

Shot, for what? throwing a brick at a parked car. That's not a deadly force incident. Yeah, i agree, there are some real scumbags out there. But the Law is the Law. The amount of force must equel the amount being used against the officer. Once the threat is over, all force must cease. When the fight is over, the officer, under Law, cannot continue the fight. If he/she does so, your looking at a possible civil suite. It's that simple.
